Celebrating Women in ICT
ImageIt is not enough for African women to be passengers or hitch-hikers on the Information Superhighway. They have to be drivers and shapers of the Internet.
Information Technology was initially thought of as the preserve of men, but that is not the reality. There are women in ICT, who are working in different fields of ICT. These women have gone through a lot to prove themselves in this male dominated field. These ladies have braved all odds, in dealing with all the pressures from their families, their colleagues from the workplaces and from the society as a whole to pursue their dreams in ICT and are working to make those dreams a reality.

They are an example to many that women can also work and are competent in the ICT profession. They also serve as role models to the younger generation of ladies who want to enter the ICT field. Our sincere appreciation to all the ladies in ICT who availed themselves to be part of this project, and to all the ladies working in ICT, Congratulations and continue serving as role models for the younger generation.
